I think it depends on the trust your with.
I only had my first fundal measurement at 31 weeks (did have a growth scan prior to this due to reduced movements)

but my midwife said it’s an outdated practice and it can depend on a few different things such as baby position, your body fat percentage, amniotic fluid levels, how full your bladder is etc and some midwives measure differently to another midwife xx

I had one measurement at 28 weeks but nothing since. But I'm having growth scans. Midwife said they're not very accurate so don't get used often xx

Just been told we have to have a C-Section. First time Mum!

Hey girlies! I'm a little scared. Just been told we have to have a C-section due to pregnancy complications. I was really hoping for a water birth. Just wondering if I could hear some positive stories and tips on recovery. Like how long is it until you can go out the house after a C-Section etc? When do you feel normal again? When can you work out and is there certain exercises you can't do?

Side sleeping post C-section

When did everyone start sleeping on their side again post CS? I’m almost 5 weeks, tried it last night again and I just cannot bear the feeling. It doesn’t necessarily hurt but the feeling of ‘emptiness’ in my stomach is all I can describe it as, is absolutely awful and I can’t get my head around it.
I think it’s still in my head as well something can go wrong and it become infected or something, I’m just massively overthinking it!

Can anyone give me advice or tell me why?

Midwife rang me yesterday to book the first appointment.
I’m 4 month post partum so only seen her a few month ago. She sounded really pissed with me, asked multiple times if I wanted to carry on with the pregnancy. I’m 9 weeks on Monday.
This is my third baby.
Look I get why she’d sound pissed I’m aware your meant to wait and I’m aware of the risks. But this is her job and I felt really judged on the phone. ( This is not my question)

She said she’d book me in for Wednesday then I’ll get a scan a few days after at the most a week. I will not be 12 weeks then, Is it because this pregnancy is a high risk hence the early scan?

Advice

I’m 15 weeks pregnant, first time mum, I’ve had so many issues and scares this pregnancy so feel like every chance, twinge, pain or ache is just worrying.

I went to my gp yesterday as I’ve had bad backache and belly ache/ belly twinges the last week, I thought it could be a uti as I know they’re common in pregnancy but they said it was all clear, they gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics (amoxicillin) just incase but I woke up this morning and my back feels like I’m heavy on my period, I have pcos so my period pains where quite rough😩

Is this a normal feeling or should I be concerned?

Wow 😮‍💨😮‍💨❤️

Soul Sinclair arrived 30 mins before his due date, 2.5 hours after arriving to the hospital. 6lb 12oz, same nose as his brother and an absolute dream boy.

I’m shattered 🤣

Congested snorty baby

My 6 week old has an increasingly congested nose all the time and snorts because of it. It’s clearly annoying him and wakes him and us up at night. He had a cold a couple of weeks ago but we’re back to this more dry sounding congestion and nothing really comes out with the snotsucker. We’re using saline drops but it doesn’t really do anything. Does anyone else have the same? Thinking of going to the GP but I’m not really sure what they’ll do
