Hey guys, anyone who has women has experienced both a c-section and vaginal delivery, which was harder/more painful/worse for recovery?

I found recovery from my vaginal birth much harder, but it was somewhat traumatic and I ended up with a second degree tear and an episiotomy. It was also during the first UK lockdown in April 2020, so I feel that played a massive part

C section absolutely floored me and took a long slow recovery. All vaginal births was up and running fine.

I think that depends on how your vaginal delivery goes, I’ve had 2 and with my first I had a 2nd degree tear and stitches, definitely took more like a week or so to feel like I was healing, but emotionally I felt good. With my 2nd I had no tear or stitches and honestly the next day felt so much better and within 3 days felt like I hadn’t even given birth.

I don’t think the question is really that simple seen as birth, healing and pain is different for everyone x

Ive only had an emergency CS but ive heard that recovery for a planned section is a much different recovery than an emergency one so I think that comes into play too

I’ve had a vaginal birth, emergency c section and a planned c section

My vaginal birth was the easiest to heal from, no tears or stitches or anything it was a plain sailing birth with easy recovery

My emergency section was the hardest, I think this is partly because it was really traumatic and I struggled a lot mentally

My planned section would be my second easiest recovery, tho it is taking the longest because I feel good mentally I keep trying to do more than my body can handle

HELP!

i’m currently 37 weeks pregnant! i was meant to have a scan on Tuesday as i have high blood pressure meaning i have a scheduled c section booked in for 39+3 (27th of April) however i arrived at my appointment 10 mins late as there was really bad traffic (and i live an hour away as it from the hospital) so we had to reschedule. they called me today and said they have rescheduled it for the 20th of April at 8am. only issue is this is only 1 week exactly before my planned c section. and this scan was to see if we needed to move the date forward due to my blood pressure continuing to increase so having a scan at 38+3 just seems a bit pointless. also if my blood pressure is high it means there could be more complications in my C section such as higher chance of bleeding out so i’d need to take blood pressure tablets but im worried a week isn’t enough time to sort my blood pressure out and i don’t know what to do.

Has your baby rolled over yet?

If yes, are they doing it tummy to back or back to tummy? Do you do tummy time with them and for how long?

I know it’s different for each babies but I’m trying to understand if doing more tummy time actually helps or not. Thanks!

Is Margot too ‘trendy’?

Our sons have classic names and my husband loves Margot but I feel like it’s too popular at the moment

Pressure

I know lots of people have been asking stuff about signs of labour.
Last night I woke up at 1am with a heavy feeling of pressure quite low down. It hasn't subsided this morning and i just constantly feel like i need a wee. Is this a sign of anything or am i clinging at straws? I'm now 40+5 and desperately don't want to be induced

Glucose tolerance test

So I have my glucose test today but I also have emetophobia [fear of vomit and throwing up] so I’m wondering if there is any ways to reduce that nausea so I don’t traumatise myself

Increased baby movements

38 weeks and baby was not stop moving for 2 hours from around 8-10pm and then nothing. Anterior placenta so only feel Limited. Rang triage who said they dont do anything regarding excess movements. Just worried as baby has never had a full 2 hours of wriggling like mental. Read online could be a cause of distress. Anyone else had a bout of increased movement at 38 weeks?
