Hi I’m due a scan Monday . I am 37 weeks today , I am just wondering what happens if it turns out shes breech? Are they gonna give it a few weeks or automatically go for c section? . I have been perfectly healthy up to this point & baby hasn’t had any problems growing . Also has anyone had a baby head down but face facing the wrong way? What happens in this case too? Advice please

Don’t worry hun some baby’s take longer to turn and before anything they will discus all your options with you no need to worry your gunna be fine x

You can try an ECV if you want to, you can try lots of natural remedies like moxibustion and spinning babies, you can wait for baby to turn on their own (babies can and do turn right up until birth), you can opt for a vaginal breech birth, or you can schedule a c section.
If you mean back to back in terms of head down facing the wrong way my first son was born back to back vaginally. It was a long and very painful labour x

My first was back to back. They got me to bounce on a ball and luckily he turned whilst I was in the delivery room. I did find my labour was all in my back with him, rather than stomach. My pelvis was also bad carrying back to back. You can deliver as normal as far as I’m aware.
Second they thought was breech and would have booked in a section at 37 weeks if he was or try ECV, luckily when I went to the scan he wasn’t actually breech, they were mistaking his bum for his head 🙈 xx

When did you have your last scan? Did they mention your baby is breech?

I had back to back with my last baby (3rd) - the labour was alot worse than my others and he took longer to move into the birth canal. He did turn as he was coming out though which was lucky. Also my recovery was alot longer - pelvis more bruised, pelvic floor more affected. An epidural would have probably helped in hind sight 😂

I also have a scan tomorrow to find out babies position as she was breech not long ago. My midwife told me I’ll have a scan and then either see my consultant or a midwife to discuss options if she’s still breech, which were ECV, vaginal breech birth, or c section x

Had a back to back baby and omg the pain ! Ended up forceps x
