Anyone else had a hard decision if to have another baby?

My son turned 2 in March. We’re getting married in July and I would love to have another baby. I’m 37 this year and would like to try this year.

But… we live in a small 2 bed flat, we already struggle for space with the 3 of us. I really want to move but financially we’re stuck at the moment. Due to house prices and my partner having debt. We could manage and afford a second child but we are not in a position to move.

I’m worried that if we waited to move first then have another child this could be a few years. The thought of not having another child upsets me but ideally I’d like a bigger place but know this isn’t something on the cards for a few years.

Anyone else been in a similar situation? Does anyone else live somewhere small and manage?

Heyya, My husband and I lived in London for two years because we stayed in studio apartments. It was a really stressful time, and we wanted a baby. I think I had two miscarriages due to stress. Later I moved to Sheffield and we moved into a bigger house. My next pregnancy went perfectly. I felt like I could finally breathe.

I know very well how difficult it is to live in small apartments and in difficult financial situations. However, I also know very well what it's like to want a baby.

If you ask me, not everything planned goes as expected.
We also see that surprise babies grow up in places with fewer resources. It completely depends on how you handle the situation.

We were living in a 2 bedroom apartment with my in-laws when my second was born. It was tight, but it sorta work. We did end up buying a house when our daughter was 3 months.

I would start trying, seems like you’ve made up your mind already, too!
