Introducing baby to dog

My parents have a Pomsky (half husky half Pomeranian) who is very high energy when she first meets someone. She will jump up on you the first time she meets you, and will be making all kinds of noise. I am also slightly allergic to her fur (not that that stops me from hugging and kissing her! Allergy meds to the rescue 😆)

I have a 9 week old newborn who so far hasn’t had any allergies but it’s too soon to tell. I want her to grow up loving dogs as much as I do, especially my parents’ dog! I also want my parents to be able to keep her at their house down the line.

How and when have people introduced baby to a higher energy dog?

I have a Corgi mix who is VERY high energy. I introduced my son to him on the second day of being home from the hospital. And it went great!!!! I just let my dog walk over to us while I was sitting in a chair and smell him…had him keep some distance at first but then let him get as close as he wanted. He knew he had to be gentle when he jumps up on me (which he doesn’t do as much anymore since being back home), he is also protective of my son(was that way when he was still in my belly) and will go check on him with me if he hears him cry to make sure he’s ok!

We have a husky.
My mum took her when I went into labour with our first. When we went home we dropped off his hospital hat so my mum could have baby girl sniff and get treats.
The next day my mum arrived with baby girl. We met them outside with our son and went for a walk. After we went in our house, baby girl had her leash held by my mum the entire time. My mum took her home again that night.
The next day we did the same except dropped her leash inside.
The third day she didn't have her leash on inside and stayed with us when my mum left.

With our second, we just came home.

We have a pure German shepherd amd a shepsky (shepherd/husky mix). When we first brought my son home they were both obviously very excited. Wanting to sniff in the car seat to see what was in there.

My oldest (shepsky) started to get a little pushy, jumping off the couch and stuff trying to check him out. My pure shepherd sniffed and laid down. We ended up putting my shepsky in his crate/room and then I put my son over by the crate so he could smell him without getting too overwhelmed. I did that like twice and he came out and was calmer.
