We currently still shower together however he insists I get in and started so I at least have time to just enjoy. I wouldn’t have to ask he would insist.

Knowing me I’d say the kids have had lunch and I’m going to take a shower so he knows where I’ll be but I’m not asking

Avatar

Usually I’ll do it at night after they go to sleep before we go to bed but if it’s during the weekend either one of us will be like hey I’m gonna go shower are you good to watch them for a little bit. Mostly making sure they aren’t dying on the inside and being stressed. And usually either one of us will be like that’s fine

Avatar

I do both, and it's not so much asking permission but just phrased that sometimes

Avatar

“I’m taking a shower, you got the kids?”

I don’t ask. I do lol

Avatar

The comments are interesting.. nice to know so many of you shower together and look forward to it!

Perhaps I’m missing out because we haven’t

Avatar

A without the question. More like I just fed the kids and I'm gonna go shower

Avatar

We shower together nd separate to get me time to ourselves to unwind from a long day

Avatar

Do people shower in the middle of the day? 😅 why? 😅

Avatar

I usually jump in and have a shower when I bath the kids at night time. Sometimes I have one in the bath and one in with me in the shower. Just depends how the night goes lol

Avatar

We just give each other a heads up in situations like this. I would probably say. “Ii need a shower, is now a good time?” When we are both home, we plan around what the other needs and wants to do so that we both get our needs met.

Avatar

I normally ask to make sure everyone uses the bathroom before I go in. There’s nothing less relaxing than my 9 year old suddenly realising she needs to go. It’s just common courtesy. Its not really permission as such.

Avatar

I do take care of everything but the "you got it?" Part is usually a heads up, not permission...

Avatar

Either one honestly. My husband would step up and feed the kids while I shower or I would do it and then go shower.

Avatar

B. Spot on 👌🏼 I don’t ask I tell him what and where and who I’m seeing what time etc. if he then has plans or needs me to reschedule then I will but otherwise I’ve already made up my mind knowing 95% he can

Avatar

I would feed tea and then after we've all eaten I will say, "I'm off for a shower" I wouldn't ask for permission!

Avatar

I say aye bae I'm about to wash this booty watch these kiddos to make sure our house stays in tact until I get out 😂😂 don't need them to burn the place down😂😂

Avatar

"Hes been fed, I'm taking a shower now keep an eye on him"

Avatar

More like I feed the kids and then have them play a game on the bathroom floor while I shower or they shower with me

Avatar

I just shower during nap time or after they go to bed🤷🏼‍♀️

C is so real 😂

Interesting to see a lot of replies saying they announce a shower (not ask for permission) and yet almost all replies say that the mum would absolutely make sure the kids are fed, all good, hubby just needs to watch them and keep them alive.

Wish there were more hubbies out there who could, you know, actively parent their child and meet their childs needs. We mums make parenting SO easy for the dads.

A because men don’t really care about B. It’s easier to do it myself because when I ask..b wouldn’t be done. But thankfully it’s not like that anymore! Single mama♥️🥰 c well, these kids are independent so they don’t need me inside the shower. I can just put all three in a tub! With me watching them. And teaching them how to shower and wipe.. they are all 2,3&4.. they still practicing being independent while I watch for safety purposes. Km so proud of my kids because they are capable! I’m raising capable, independent kids. I’m not raising adults who still need me to wipe their arse lol(not literally, metaphorically). You learn from different pov

Avatar

I say "I'm going to take a shower" and leave it at that. He knows what time it is and when his son eats, he doesn't need a prompt from me telling him to feed our son, he just does it.

Avatar

D - I’m taking a shower, feed the creatures if they ask. 😘

Avatar

I just get in the shower.. if she says she’s hungry he’ll just feed her by himself. 😆 but I have a toddler now. As a baby I would’ve just said “it’s time for her to eat I’m about to shower.” Lol
