Faith in Christ and spouse

Is anyone here married to a different religion person or someone who isn’t religious at all? I’d love to hear how is it going for you guys and if you ever have to argue about something faith related?

Married to my husband for 4years and now in all these years, he’s not liking the fact that I’m teaching or guiding our only child to Jesus. Our child is 2 yo. My husband says it makes him uncomfortable because he thinks it’s one sided. ( he’s not Christian but also not religious at all)

Anyone here facing anything like that? I’d love to have someone who can relate and see what is working for them?

Not my experience but grew up in a household like that. My dad was religious but had a different religion and supported my mom raising us in the faith. However I saw the warfare my mother experienced and how it affected us.

What you’re experiencing is spiritual warfare. Bc your husband isn’t saved, the enemy will use him against you (sadly) and use him to stop your son from receiving a generational blessing of faith and receiving Christ for himself.

What I do know is that prayer against the enemy and for your husband’s soul is the main weapon you have as well as applying the verses that deal with being married to an unbeliever

Not quite the same but my husband was non religious/non faith to begin with but he saw me more at peace when i found my faith again and started asking a few questions here and there. I never pushed him to join me or forced the issue. He gradually came round in his own time and we read our bibles together once we put the kids to bed, go to church together and he wants to get baptised soon.
So its entirely possible for him to come around to the idea of joining u. Is it lack of information, lack of guidance etc thats stopping him?

My husband was raised Methodist but isn’t religious anymore, and I’m Catholic. We have some things we disagree on, but we’ve decided to go to church as a family every week. My husband doesn’t like it but he goes to support me because I ask him to. We’ve decided to raise our children neutral, but expose them to both. So my daughter has a children’s bible and religious books and I pray with her, but my husband doesn’t. When she’s older we will let her make her own decisions about religion, including whether or not to come to church with us once she’s old enough to stay home alone. This has been working for us. I hope you and your husband will be able to find some middle ground.

My husband is not religious because he's bitter about his legalistic mother but he said he was Christian when we married but that aside he still wants our children to grow up in the church so I really just don't talk to him about it and I raise our kids Protestant like how I believe since he wants no religion for himself I figure whatever that's for him not for us ...I'm the mom the one who's with the kids and I'm gonna teach them how I see fit is what it is

I am Christian and my husband is Jewish (loosely follows Judaism religion but does follow some of the cultural aspect). He does believe in God and we celebrate both Jewish and Christian holidays, all are a joyful time for our family. Religious arguments are minimal but we do check in from time to time to make sure we are both feeling respected in our beliefs.

My husband is a believer but he doesn’t come to church often or read his bible etc.
but I know he believes and so hair pray for him. Our children have been raised in the church and he kind of just lets me lead with that. I do include him if making any major decisions but he’s usually okay with whatever as long as me and the kids are actually happy with it and not just doing it for religious reasons if that makes sense
