Skipping milk ladder

Has anyone skipped the milk ladder and decided to introduce dairy slowly on their own?

Yes we did. And he was doing ok with gradual bits of dairy, started to introduce more and we’ve now completely gone back to no dairy as he was having diarrhoea and eczema flair ups! X

I haven't followed it exactly, but still look at the steps for a guide

Trying now. We got to step 5 ok over several weeks then tried him on kendamil goat formula a few days ago and loved it (step 12). Seems to have been ok. He has refused some Kendamil sterilised pre prepared formula today I.e step 11 which is cows milk so has both proteins in rather just the one in goat so maybe that tells us something. Waiting on a delivery of the goat formula now

We’ve been tempted to do things a bit off tract. Our approach has been a tiny bit here and tiny bit there. For example, yesterday I gave my daughter some crust off my pizza in a restaurant. I scrapped as much cheese off it as possible but there will have been bits left on. Then two weeks ago I gave her a lick of some yogurt I was eating. Of course these were one offs, not enough to cause a reaction. I spoken to our dietian about what I’ve been doing and she didn’t say it was a no no. She said it might actually be helping towards building a tolerance. So I’m respectful of the advice but I’m just trying not to overthink it.
When I we do try to fully re introduce I’ll perhaps try have a more structured plan just so I can keep on track Xx
