Infection?

Does this look infected? I noticed his nail sticking out yesterday so I got that off nothing was there when this happened and I’ve noticed this today, he doesn’t seem agitated or like it’s painful for him, is it something to contact the gp about? I’ve seen only see the gp after 2-3 days after at home treatment so should I try this first or make a gp appointment straight away?
