Engorged
I had my baby 3 days ago, he came a week and 1 day early, my milk came in properly yesterday. My boobs are killing me, they're huge, he's having milk but not enough to take away my discomfort.
I was going to buy an electric pump bit was too late. Ive ordered one today to arrive for this evening but im just in agony.
Plus, my nipples are sore from feeding. Midwife said I latch him on okay but I dont think he opens his mouth wide enough.. this is my third baby! I never had nipple problems before. Engorged boobs more times than I can remember but
Its just so painful 😭

Buy the electric pump you will feel better also if you have to put hot compress on the boobs and massage it. It may hurt but it needs to circulation then pump.
I used silver nipple shield which was very helpful and hot compress, nipple cream.
Wet a muslin and pop it in the freezer for a bit then use it on your breasts. I found that helped a bit. Also expressing a little bit just enough to ease the engorgement. Cabbage leaves from the fridge also help a lot and they have antibacterial properties. And silverettes for the nipple pain.
Use creams for nips, as well as cold compresses - I’ve found that even with an electric pump I’m still in a lot of discomfort and having to hand express 🥲x

Can also do very gentle compressions when he’s latched to help the milk flow better. Mine were like rocks but evened out after 48hrs
