Frozen embryo question

Hi,

I am having egg collection on Friday.
I am a little confused though- how long after egg collection can you have transfer, for a frozen embryo transfer?

Usually the bleed after your withdrawal bleed is what my clinic does!

For me it came a week or so after stopping my meds! And if your doing a medicated FET, youll start your estrogen tablets the first day of your period so yeah about 6 weeks id say xxx

A frozen embryo is transferred on your next cycle, 6ish weeks after collection

Really depends on your clinic. Sometimes NHS might have a bit of a backlog so can be a bit longer. Also depends on what type of transfer you have (e.g. natural or medicated transfer).
I had my egg collection on 22nd October and then had a natural transfer on 16th December, so 8 weeks later.

Are you having a frozen transfer due to likelihood of OHSS? I had mild/moderate OHSS and I'm so glad I waited longer to have my transfer, it really took a toll on my body, and people said I looked unwell for a couple of months afterwards.

I had collection on 6th of November 2023 and transfer 13th February 2024. There was a closing period of Christmas, and a little bit of a backlog so it does depend on the clinics availability
