Hospital Bag

Can someone help me out please 🙏🏼 does anyone have a list of what I need to pack - it’s a minefield ! I don’t want to take too little or too much but then want to make sure I have everything I need ! 👀
What have other mummy’s packed ?
First time mummy here ! To put into perspective how much I’ve already done = 2 suitcases which seems excessive ! My hospital will think I’ve moved in ! Xx

I feel 1st time mums and 2nd time mums have very different views on this 😂
Im 2nd time and this time ill be packing
Babygrows X 5
Vests X 5
Nappies
Hat
Mittens
Comfy outfit for me to go home in
Pads for me
Toiletries (as they usually tell you to get a shower after birth)
Chargers
Snacks and drinks (for me and partner)

Im probably forgetting afew things as I wrote this quickly but honestly if you have the basics you'll be fine!

Tonnes of lists on google though :)

If you have a car, I’d recommend leaving extra bits there. Also, travel bags over suitcase because opening / having it laid out open just gets in the way, and bending down for something is a no go for me. I’d say not to over pack and leave stuff in the car because you’re going to need to move all your belongings for each stage

Absolutely lost with due date 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

So I’ve just had my 100th scan and the sonographer was really confused so read through every single one of my reports (there’s a lot , it took her 50 minutes!) and it’s now been decided (AGAIN!) that my due dates wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️
Has anyone had their due date changed 8 times in one pregnancy? I’ve had every date between the 17th-23rd at this point 🤦🏼‍♀️

Baby Movements

Hi, i’m nearly 27 weeks with a typically very active baby boy. Last 24 hours his movements have been significantly lower and hadn’t felt anything yesterday afternoon, evening or into the morning today. I had a routine midwife appointment and she sent me to triage for monitoring, the kept me on machine for just over an hour and said baby’s heartbeat is looking good but movements are still low. Has anyone else had any similar experience? Still feeling quite anxious about it all xo

6 month change

Is anyone else sad about the changes their babies will be facing soon!
I remember I couldn’t wait to have my space back with my first.
But I’m actually crying thinking about moving my second into a room on her own. Or even getting rid of the carry cot and the bouncers!
Maybe it’s because she’s our last or maybe we know this is when the circus starts but I don’t know I think it’s so sad 😢

Our little rainbow baby is here❤️✨

We welcomed Ember May to the world after 5 long years of waiting for her ❤️✨

4 past her due date

I had a sweep Saturday morning and started contractions at 5 mins apart at 7:30 on Sunday, quickly got to 3 mins apart, arrived at hospital for 10:30 at 7/8cm, started pushing at 15:15 and gave birth at 16:32, home by 10pm! It was an amazing positive magical experience and so grateful to have had such a good pregnancy and labor!

Epidural was AMAZING, highly recommend 😂

Should I worry?

My LO is 6 months old in 2 weeks (was due in Nov).

He is just starting to show signs he wants to roll back to front but has no interest in trying or wanting to sit up. He has great head control but is happy laid on his back and is fine with tummy time too.

I know the guidance for weaning is 6 months but I don’t think my little guy is ready for it.

I know babies move at their own pace but starting to hear people say “is he doing this yet” is starting to get to me and now I wonder if I should worry?
