My 14 month old was diagnosed with bronchitis 2-3 weeks ago and was only prescribed a nebulizer. He seemed to be getting better but this week he’s gotten a lot worse. Not able to sleep from coughing so much and horrible mucus and congestion, throwing up from the coughing, he feels like he’s running fevers but never actually had one somehow. I’m at the point of just going to an emergency room because his doctor and urgent cares are not helping. Is there anything else I can try as of right now to help him?

If he’s getting worse definitely bring him back since it can turn into pneumonia. Anytime I had it as a child, which was quite often, they would only give us breathing treatments as well. Maybe once or twice we were given prescription cough syrup. I will say normally the coughing is seen as a good thing tho since it’s helping to get all the mucus up.

My baby is 14 months old too! I’m a FTM doing it alone and trust me the sleepless night are the worst especially when baby is not feeling better. Take him to the ER. For me I’m about to clean everything and wipe the walls with water and vinegar. I’m staying away from my humidifier since that made her worse. Maybe my ideas could work for your baby 💛
