Milk bottle

My 13 month old currently has his milk in his baby bottles still, he uses mam bottles. I’ve tried to give it him in a sippy cup or a straw cup and he screams and refuses to drink it from them. Will he be fine? I see a lot of things saying that it’s bad for them to still use bottles but I literally can’t get him to use anything else. He drinks his water fine from his straw cup just struggling to get milk in a different cup.

Same here, we’ve tried everything but he sticks to the mam bottle for milk too.
My daughter who’s 4 now had milk in her bottle until she was nearly 2 and her teeth are fine so I think it’ll be okay xx

We used bottles until about 14 months then when I was happy he was taking enough solids / dairy through solid sources I continued offering a straw cup, up to him to have it or not, but otherwise he just has water x

Just don't give milk in a bottle when they nap. It damages their teeth. Use water at nap and bed time. Usually kids like juice boxes. You could only give water in bottles and milk in cups and juice in boxes. When they get tired of water they will switch.

They don't actually need milk at 13 months as long as they get calcium from other sources so you could just offer water in a straw cup instead.

One of the main issues is having milk after brushing teeth cos then the sugars just sit on their teeth overnight.

I’m not planing on stopping for a while tbh. He loves his milk and he still wakes at 4/5am every morning and won’t go back down without milk. I will try and nip this in the bud at some point but I’m choosing my battles atm

My son also loves his milk in the morning and before bed. I don't mind what bottle. He is on mam but i understand why he likes it. It allows him to have lots of fluid at the same time and sippy cup won't do it as efficient x
