Introduction post

Hi! I’m new here so i just wanted to introduce myself and my child to the community :)

I’m Haven, I’m a 20 year old mom to a 3.5 month old baby girl named Viviann Faith; Who was a tiny little 6 lb 7 oz, 19 inch.. late Christmas present 🎁😆 Her birthday is December 28th

10 week appointment

Hi :) first time mum here :
I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant and have an appointment with a midwife soon at 10 weeks which I was told would involve blood tests. I wasn’t sure if this would include a scan or would I have to wait until 12 weeks?

Baby weight

Has anyone had a growth scan and been told a predicted weight and it’s actually been accurate? Interested to know what all your babies were predicted and what they actually weighed😊

Engaged 2/5

I had midwife appointment & they said babies head is engaged and about 2/5.

I dont remember them doing this with my 1st. I did ask what it meant, they said it meant baby is getting ready/in position.

My question is, anyone else been told this, if so how far gone were you & have you had your baby yet?

I looked online & saw that subsequent pregnancies can mean baby will come in a few days time altho this isnt a confirmed sign of info used to predict labour is near etc.

Just curious if anyone else is in this position, im 38+4 very uncomfortable & praying i dont end up overdue, I was 40+5 with my 1st 😬

31 weeks appt - bump measurement

Hi! Just had my 31 week appt and my bump is measuring above the 97th percentile. Has anyone had this and then had a baby of average size? We have a growth scan next week.

What is the current consensus on Merrill?

I’ve never given it much consideration because the Meryl Streep and Merrill Lynch associations seem so strong, but for some reason tonight it’s caught my attention. I’m kind of getting a mix of grandpa and outdoorsy vibes from it (probably due to the Merrell outdoors shoes brand), but I can’t decide how I feel about it.

Is it difficult to say? I’ve seen some old posts saying it’s a bit like Rory in that some people struggle to pronounce it.

Does it strike you as masculine, feminine, or neutral?

Are there too many famous celebrities and brands associated with it to use for a child?

Does it sound/feel remotely appealing at all or is unpleasant?

What sort of little boy/man would you picture wearing the name Merrill?

Do you think it would fit in well with brothers Warren and Clyde?

Any middle suggestions to pair with a two-syllable last name?

Wanting a girl name with the potential nickname “Rosie” 🌷 I would use Rosie as a first name but it is unfortunately the same name as my LO’s sister’s pet 😭 Rosie has been my favourite name since forever
