vaccines

my son is scheduled for his first set of shots next month. me & his dad have been, and still are, contemplating giving them to him now or at least waiting until he’s 1, maybe a bit stronger, immune system wise, or maybe even not at all. for context, he just turned 3 months today, and i’ve literally been down a rabbit hole of videos with kids having such negative horrible reactions to these vaccines, i’ve had my cousin send me research of what’s in them and telling me not to get him it, and i’ve had friends tell me i’d be crazy not to. my thing is; i was vaccinated when i was younger, BUT 2003 is way different than 2026, the vaccines have changed. i just don’t want to make a decision that changes his life forever. i’m truly scared, i just want him, safe, healthy, as engaged as he is now, and alive. please no judgement, I’m a first time mom, scared to death, influenced by social media and sad vaccine stories. has anyone vaccinated their babies and has had either nothing worth mentioning or successful stories ?? i just want the best for him, any advice is appreciated !! again, please no judgement. if you’re rude, no shade, you’re getting it right back.

Am I the a-hole?

Well this morning has already been so fun. I got my girls ready and in the car, brought their dad to work and then we went to school to wait for the doors to open. I park in a closer spot so can leave the baby in the car while I quickly bring other daughter to the doors. Sometimes if my baby is sleeping we sit there for a bit because I know once we get home she magically knows and wakes up. Well a lady did not like us sitting there. She told me I was being inconsiderate and called me a fat bitch. She basically said I shouldn’t park there because I only have one kid and I need the walking because I’m a fat bitch and she’s going to report me. (She called me that multiple times. I felt I was very calm and said you don’t know my situation. She said she didn’t care and called me it again. I said you should learn some manners and rolled up my window. Am I the A-hole?

Baby sleep

Sleep

Baby born 12/30 so on younger end of this group. He is 11 weeks and a few days currently. The last two nights he’s slept an 8 hour stretch, asked for a bottle, then done a 2-3ish hour stretch.

Should I be waking him around 6hrs to feed at this age? Or following his cues like im doing. He’s getting enough daytime calories, gaining weight, and having plenty of wet diapers.

Thoughts? Do I enjoy the long stretch or is it too soon? Also Im pumping overnight for supply.

Postpartum mental health

Mom guilt

My baby starts daycare in 2 weeks and Im crying every night thinking she deserves better. Shes babbling so much and is so curious, im afraid the teacher's won't so enough for her. We've been together every day and its killing me that im going to be separated from her. Its an aching feeling, gives me so much anxiety. She will be attending the daycare i work at but i watch a separate group of kids in a different room. The thought of knowing shes so close but i cant be with her kills me. How do you all manage it?
