Last night my 6 year old daughter was playing with my 8month old son... she decided to throw a small plastic ball at him. I didn't see it happen but I heard him screaming in pain like he was really hurt. I asked her over and over what happened and she wouldn't tell me. My husband got her to tell us she threw it at him on purpose and she eventually admitted she did it just because she wanted to hurt him. 💔 my daughter is from my first marriage and she does get jealous of the new baby.
Has anyone ever dealt with this? Im so scared she might try to hurt him again 😠it left a red welt on his back. I'm going to take her to counseling... but I'm also due with another boy in November and I just feel really nervous about this behavior.

I have a 5 year old son from a previous relationship and my 9 month old daughter with my current fiancé . He hasn’t been violent with her but in the beginning and ever once in a while he shows jealousy and lots of “ no one loves me , you guys only love sissy “ . The only thing I could suggest on top of the counciling for her behavior is maybe ensure quality time with just you and her and making sure your husband does the same . Sometime my fiancé and I will “ playfully exclude the baby and make sure my son knows he’s a priority. “Not right now baby girl I wanna hear your brothers story / play with brother right now “ it’s a not a cure all but making sure he knows we love him just the same has cut back drastically on the meltdowns and he expressing how he feels unloved in comparison with the new baby .

Omg my 4 year old son is constantly doing something to my 9 month old. And if ima be honest, it frightens me the potential feelings and reasons behind it. Like we try our best to give individual time from both me and my partner , but idk.

Sorry ur going thru that. My almost 3 year old used to do this too, and I used to be really gentle, talk to him and explain how that wasn’t right etc. I used to make him apologize and worse case, I’d have do a two min time out. I’m not gonna lie it got worse and worse, to the point where whenever he would get mad or wanted me to do something, he would just go attack the baby. I stopped that whole talking it out and immediately took action for ex, taking his toys, turn off the tv and console the baby. Huge difference, he now understands that he will get in huge trouble and all the fun would stop. The turning point for me is when he would gun for his face and eyes. So scary, but what I’m trying to say is get it under control as soon as possible!

We have nanny cams in our house for not even the nanny but the one day a week my in-laws watch the kids as I don’t trust them but the cameras have helped us investigate things when the toddler says one thing but baby is screaming as if she was hurt kinda situations and I 1000% recommend for piece of mind.
I’m a FTM and since my LO was born (he’s 10 weeks currently) my MIL has insisted that she wants to spend the night with him, and keeps saying ‘you can leave him with me, just give me some bottles’. I’m no longer expressing and only direct BF and I have also told her that I am not comfortable yet with my baby spending the night away from me. I have also told her I am no longer expressing so that wouldn’t be an option anyway. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around why she would assume I would be comfortable being away from my baby so soon. Its giving me anxiety that if and when I decide to wean my baby that she will expect me to be okay with this and I still don’t think i’ll be comfortable with this in the future. Has anyone else experienced this?

I work 3 days a week, in which my daughter goes to nursery. My partner leaves for work at 5am, so the whole process of getting up, ready and out the house is all on me. I only have a 15 month old but i’m struggling so much to be able to get myself ready and keep her distracted. How are we all managing this?
She’s into everything and in that stage where I can’t take my eyes off her, which makes it even impossible to brush my teeth.
She’s not predictable with her wakes, especially at the min as we’re going through an awful sleep regression, some days she wakes at 4am others 6am so trying to get up and ready before her isn’t really possible.
I don’t allow a lot of screen time and because of this she doesn’t really sit in front of the tv as i’ve tried this also.
Any help appreciated 😅

I’m 37 weeks and have been advised by the midwife to collect colostrum if I can - I’m only managing to collect a few droplets if that, is there anything I can do to help produce more?
Also can I express at night leave in the fridge then express throughout the next day (not going over 24 hours) then freeze safely?
Thanks in advance!

Ive been trying hand expression and its just not been working for me so when I saw my midwife consultant last time I asked about using a hand held pump to harvest and she cleared me and said I could. So I have done this tonight and for first time this is how much I got for both which im happy with! Although it seemed to not be tight on one and it leaked all down my boobðŸ˜
Can someone please tell me why its this colour? Is it due to it being the first proper collection ive done?
Thank you xx

I am struggling to burp my LO after breastfeeding and as soon as I put him down to sleep he will start to twist and cry but whatever I do I just can’t get it up. Is there anything else I could try to help get him to burp?
