Why do people have such audacity?!

On vacation with my husband & our youngest baby (10 months). We’re walking down the street & this older lady sees my baby walking & asks how old she was & I answer. Then she says look at that hair & touches her head then immediately pats me on the back & says congratulations. While I’m sure there was good intent, why do random people feel entitled to touching a strangers baby?! It happened so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to react before realizing what had transpired. Would this peeve you?

Even prior to Covid I’m like don’t touch my children - after Covid don’t even get too close - I know diff cultures are diff but yea No don’t touch me or my kids.

That kind of interaction is why the older generations had true villages. We have such a divide these days, no one actually communicated with their fellow humans and forms connections.

Screaming while burping

Does anyone else’s 13 week old scream the place down like you’re murdering them the second you take the bottle out of their mouth to burp them?

Pushchair vs carrycot

Has anybody put their bay in the seat attachment yet or are they still in the carry cot. My baby is really nosey and I feel like she’d benefit from being in the pushchair attachment so that she can see but I still feel like she’s small and should be in the carrycot. I know people with older babies who are still in the carrycot so I’m just not sure.

She cries when she’s in the carry cot but is really happy when I pick her up and she can look around. Think part of it is I’m not ready for her to be in the pushchair as it makes her seem like a bigger baby than she is.

Any advice would be appreciated

I feel like I’m going crazy

I’m a 19 yr old single mom with a 4 month old baby boy, don’t get me wrong I adore being a mother, but sometimes all I wish for is my old life and my old self back. I don’t get breaks I live at home with my parents but I don’t get any help because my mom has a lot of medical issues. I don’t go anywhere I don’t do anything I just sit at home all day with him. I have absolutely no life. His doesn’t help. I feel so alone and I’ve tried medication all it does is make me unbelievably tired. I’m so angry all the time. Any advice? Please.

When is milk supply established?

I'm currently 3.5 weeks pp and I'm still doing about 2-3 pumps from midnight to 7am to get milk supply production going and up, in addition to breastfeeding/ pumping every 2-3 hours in the daytime. It is tiring me out particularly with the early hours pumping. When is milk supply established so I can start to reduce the number of pumping or lengthen the gap of pumping?
