Neocate worked absolute wonders for my daughter. It’s the only formula she would drink and not spit out.
Pros for me were the fact that she was like a brand new baby. We saw a change within the first couple of days and by week 6 all the symptoms disappeared apart from the reflux which is normal with how thin the formula is.
The formula needs to be made with room temp water as the hot water kills all the goodness in it which can upset their tummies a little bit so make sure it’s room temp water.
Only con for me was that it took a couple of bottles before my daughter decided that she likes it as it’s so thin and doesn’t taste very nice so we were told to use a tiny bit of vanilla extract in the bottle. Alcohol free vanilla that is.

My son was on Neocate syneo ( this version has pre and pro biotics that help with keeping him regular). Because of multiple food allergies this was pretty much the only formula he could have. But before we started it he was loosing weight and once we started he started gaining weight, looked healthy, no more dark circles under his eyes.
He’s 14 months now and is still taking their junior version of the formula. On his 1 year check up, he has gone up on the curve for weight. So we are very happy

You have all the right to ask for information to the staff who is prescribing it. You more than anyone needs to understand what is going on.
There are different versions of Neocate. Most of the time is prescribed for allergies.
If you've been through this please share your experience. It's been 2 years and I can't get over it. We have 2 under 2 and I'm a sahm, i feel stuck.

I am very much a bath girly and am starting to really miss having a nice warm soak.
A midwife in the hospital told me that I should wait 6-8 weeks for a bath. Is this true? Can a bath without soaps/ bubble bath be had before this? I have been showering daily, avoiding getting shampoo and shower gel on my incision.
I am 4 and a half weeks post C section.
Thanks for any advice xx

Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of a blocked milk duct please? I seen the midwife this morning and she told me to gently massage my breast whilst pumping, to apply a cold compress to the area and to take ibuprofen. I’ve done all of them but still blocked. When I pump there’s barely any milk coming out when normally I’ll fill the pump. Has anyone got any other tips for me please as I’m so uncomfortable and sore. Thank you

My mother who is 61 believes babies and toddlers should be PERFECT. She put me down so much with my first that I blamed myself for her not sleeping etc this time around with my second i understand it is biologically normal for babies to wake up during the night! I can take the comments this time however I cannot take her putting my toddler down. She gets extremely offended if my toddler does not say bye to her. My toddler is a pretty well behaved toddler but like all has her moments and if she is pushed she will push back and refuse even more to do something. Every time she refuses to say bye to her she says she will not return to see her again etc I’ve repeatedly explained just say bye to her and not make a drama bcos if you force her she will definitely not say it. I don’t want her to grow up a people pleaser like me and tonight I’d had enough she keeps saying wow just wait til she is a teenager her behaviour will be horrific etc my toddler takes in EVERYTHING she is told and all of this is said in front of her. It got into an argument when I spoke up and the usual came out of what has happened to this generation blah blah. Does anyone else’s parents behave like this? I have found that even older people accept that babies don’t sleep and motherhood is hard

Anybody else 8 week old have an early last feed? My little one had her last major feed at 6:00 and a bit of a top up at 18:55pm but hasn’t woken since. I’ve just changed her nappy and she is fast on. This has happened quite a few times but it stresses me her going so long without a feed. Anybody else experience this?
