Tattoo while breastfeeding?

I want to get a tattoo for my daughter but have seen many conflicting things about tattoos while breastfeeding, does anyone have any opinions or experience? Please let me know I am so conflicted!
Also if I were to get it, would pump and dump be an option and if so for how long?

So I was thinking about finishing my sleeve a while back. I was told a professional artist should refuse. They’re discouraged due to liability and general risk of infections, potential allergic reactions, &just general strain to your body. Now this was just from the artist I’ve used 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think the general advice is not to while breastfeeding. When I got my most recent tattoo, I was asked by my tattoo artist (she’s my cousin and knew I had a 1 year old) if I was breastfeeding because there are risks.

I got my ribcage done while BF my now 10 year old he was 14 months at the time and I got a small one on my arm while BF my youngest now, she was 15 months at the time. Both of my children are fine and my tattoos healed quickly with proper care. I feel like waiting till they are older is safer but of course everything online says about the risk of infection. I personally feel like if you've had them in the past with 0 complications or infections and are at a clean facility the risk of infection is extremely low, of course different shops have different rules for liability reasons.
