Elective c section

Has anyone requested a section at (38 weeks pregnant) currently 38 weeks and would want a c section possibly next week (39weeks) , is it too late to ask my midwife ?

I requested an elective c-section at my 32 week growth scan as it’s something you’ll need to ask a consultant. If you don’t already have a consultant I think your midwife can refer you to one to request the c-section. I don’t think it’s too late as they can be done at any point I believe, as long as they have availability. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and have my date for next Tuesday x

Walking after c section

How long did it take for you to walk normal after a c section. Meaning feeling at ease normal paced when walking like prior to the c section.

Help please!

Hi, just looking for some advice. Been suffering with back pain and pelvic girdle throughout pregnancy, and now entered third trimester and it’s gone up another notch and pretty unbearable! Think triggered from a 3 hour drive and back the next day for a work event earlier this week 😞
Has anyone got any quick help tips they found worked well?

To belly band or not to belly band post surgery

I’m headed into my second csection (planned this time) and am wondering if most people are using belly bands? My OB advised it’s not necessary but I see so many ads for them about assisting in recovery.
Did you use a band?
At what week post surgery did you start? Did it hinder the scars healing being covered ?
Do you have a certain one you recommend?
