Soon to be ex husband is trying to sabotage child care

I’m going back to work. My soon to be ex husband is threatening to sabotage childcare by picking our baby up as soon as I drop him off. We have a voucher and was told if he doesn’t go a certain number of times then we lose the voucher and the child care spot. The reason he’s giving me is that he should be the child care. I told him not unless it’s at my home. He said no. Mind you this man does not have a place of his own. He just got evicted. But he’s salty because I’m choosing the child care route. We have a custody motion in a week. In the state of Massachusetts, what can I legally request so that he cannot sabotage child care?

Is there anyway you can tell the childcare you are in a messy custody situation and you are the only one allowed to pick up your child. I know for my kids’ school i didn’t give them their dad’s name for the pick up list

It pretty much depends on your state laws.

A friend went through a similar thing. The divorced partner managed to mess up the childcare provided while they were working. They were left without childcare. Luckily the grandparents could step in, but otherwise it would have had big repercussions on their career.

This type of thing got exposed in court but it didn't really have a consequence.

The best you can do is document it, speak to the staff and find alternative childcare.

When are you officially divorced or Getting custody?
