Hi,
My daughter is refusing to poo and she’s holding it in for days.
She was constipated a while ago and since then she’s just “scared” we think. She doesn’t drink enough water and we are trying to stop giving her milk.
We tried lactulose but it’s still not working.
Any advice?
Thanks

Hey . My little girl is exactly the same . We tried a lot of different ones . We started MOVICOL two weeks ago, prescribed by the pediatrician as she was pooping ones a week and she was IN PAIN. Same as yours she is scared to poo … the movicol seems to work pretty well . She is now pooping every 2 days but with help . I lie her down on the floor and push her legs to her chest … she does cry/scream but its now super soft so when it comes out she stops and realizes its no more painfull and god she looks so much better after she pooo . Also the pediatrician gave us a sheet to record the poop ect honestly worth a try for your little one . If you need anything feel free to message me x
Aww amazing, thank you so much, I will contact the GP again and ask for MOVICOL as she’s so difficult. She’s struggling a lot .

I know it ain’t the best, but when my daughter doesn’t drink enough water, I put a drop of fresh juice into the water and she seems to down it after that - plus orange juice will help with getting things moving x
