Hi All..looking for some advice/ support please. My 5 month old developed some spots/ raised bumps about 6 days ago which were similar to baby acne, mostly on his cheeks and also some on chest. Some individual and some more clustered. They felt quite dry on his facevso suspected exzema. Took him to GP Friday as it was spreading. Wasn't concerned, said it might be exzema and to use emollient. By Saturday it has spread across whole face, next. Chest, behind knees, elbow and today it is now on back, legs and feet. Occasionally very angry and red and patchy. In a certain light the skin on his face looks like hundreds of tiny raised bumps. Sae the on call GP who prescribed hydrocortisone cream and Piriton. He is not hugely bothered by it until he gets tired and wants to rub his face and eyes.
I have had awful post partum anxiety and probably pnd. I ebf and worried about allergies but have no idea where to start to support him or eliminate triggers. Any advice would be so appreciated x

Dairy, wheat and soy are big allergens so you could start by cutting those.
It could well be CMPA or a reaction to something environmental. Has anything changed at home?
I personally would never put hydrocortisone or other steroids on my child. The risk of TSW is too great and having personally suffered with it I wouldn’t wish it on my own worst enemy.
Zinc creams can be helpful for drying rashes up but use a clean one. Sudocrem is full of lots of potentially irritating ingredients so one with as few ingredients as possible is best.
