Wake windows

What are we doing to keep babies entertained during their wakeful time?? I feel bad because I don’t know what to do to entertain him the best I can, and he sleeps so more than a typical 1 month old I’m wondering if it’s not out of boredom- am I normal for just watching my show while I talk to him and play or should I be doing more?

I have a tummy time mat that has high contrast colors and animals on it. I lay my 1 month old on it and kinda just chill with her

Tummy time, she loves when I talk and sing to her. It makes her smile, she likes to feel the fresh air outside, etc.

Theyre so young, all they need is us. Watching your face impressions are more then enough ❤️ at this age its perfectly normal for them to sleep most of the time

Eating dinner together..

I think my 2 year old would really benefit from eating with us at the table. I know it’s not required for all kiddos but I think it would help.

I just can’t work out how to get dinner on for 5/530 for everyone.

He largely eats toddler type dinners that I can often throw together quickly. I just can’t work out how to make adult / toddler dinner ready for 5/530 when I’m technically working from home till 5.

I do have some flexibility to chuck things together while I’m at home and of course could meal prep but I’m quite overwhelmed.

MIL

So my friends mil is really nasty. She constantly tells her son that he shouldn't be with my friend, told her son not to have another baby with my friend as she is only after the money, told her son my friend is only nice to her face. They didn't go to church on Sunday and the mother phoned her son and said how dare he not go. Bare in mind her son is in his late forties. She is 80 odd. She is very controlling and constantly stabs my friend in the back. What should she do. Any advice welcome.

The mother in law doesn't like cats, my friend absolutely loves them. They won't tell her they got a cat because she will go mad.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that she is trying to control her son.

Anxious thought

One of my many anxious thoughts but what would you do if your car broke down on a busy road- with a toddler and baby. Who do you get out first?
Would have to be the toddler (nearly 3) first, then baby… else I’d have no hands to unclip the toddler. But then where do you put the toddler.
Please tell me everyone has these scenarios running through their head🥲

I just saw a video of a car broken down on a smart motorway, so they were half in a lane. How do you get your children out then?! I hate that I overthink everything.

Weaning

Hey my boy is now nearly 7 months and I have no clue what I’m doing with weaning and giving him food. He does have porridge in the mornings most days but just stuck on what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated x
