Leaving the hospital

It’s 3am, I’m dying to know if my hospital just sucked.

Did you leave the hospital in a wheel chair after giving birth?

They gave me an option for a wheelchair or to walk

That walk to the car hurt!

Girl I was in the hospital for a week. I could barely walk. Induction was hell

What hospital? My sister in law had her baby recently too.
The midwives actually told her, "We're here to cause you pain."

My hospital told me that I have to sit in a wheelchair and that they have to bring me down because they have to check that we have a carseat and its installed properly and that we have reliable transportation home. So they wheeled me down when it was time to go home and helped me get in the car

I was also in the hospital for a week cuz my blood pressure was not being a team player. By the time they released me I wanted to run to the car but they made me wait for a chair 🙃 they said it was a legal issue, like it was not optional if I recall correctly

Yes, after all 3 of my csections I was wheeled out by a nurse. They usually told my husband to bring the car as close as he could get it.

I was the same as Hannah. I think it also depends on how far the labor/delivery/recovery rooms are to the pick up area. Mine was a pretty long distance to cover.

Yes. But idk if it counts bc I was never on the L&D floor. I was triaged then straight to OR for emergency c section for severe preeclampsia, then put on Subacute ICU, hospitalized for like a week bc I was so unstable.
(fyi I accidentally voted no bc baby squirming 😖)

Immediately after giving birth? Wtffff
This was my first pregnancy and they had me stay for a whole day. They said I could stay longer if I needed to.

OP here - so my hospital actually told my husband to go move the car and then when he left they then told ME to grab the baby and walk her out. That’s when I put my foot down and said I’d prefer to wait
This is 30 hours after giving birth??

Baby coming early...

Update: I've now had a bloody show and contractions are back a little stronger...

Hey everyone,

I'm 36+6 today, little man due 15th May, but I don't think we will make it to May...

I can't remember the timeline of things happening with my first baby other than when my waters went.

But last night I had tightenings that weren't the normal Braxton Hicks. BH usually happens at the top, once or twice a day. Last night the tightenings were happening from the bottom and spreading upwards. Semi regularly from 6pm-12am roughly. I know that part is normal...

Then I woke up this morning and went for a wee and my mucus plug has decided to vacate the building 🫠🤣 I'm now getting more tightenings low down and the pain in my inner thighs has increased - something else I didn't get with my first.

Anyone else in this boat right now? Or can you remember roughly how long it took from mucus plug coming away to labour starting?

Thank you ❤️❤️

C section

Since having a C-section, has anyone else felt like this?

After I eat, I sometimes feel really weak and heavy, like my body just slows down and even my posture feels off. I’m about 4 months postpartum and it’s still happening.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what it could be? 🤍

Sitting

Anyone else’s baby not sitting unaided yet? He’ll sit good if I loosely hold his hips or shoulders but will lean too far forward and fall over if I let go! I know every baby is different but constantly worried he’s behind!
