EBF sleep

Just wondering those of you who exclusively breastfeed, what does sleep look like. We are approaching the 6 months mark and I am still feeding multiple times during the night.

Same. Wakes twice to feed from 7pm - 7am!

Omg same here. My 5 month old wakes every 2-3 hours still. My pediatrician told me dad needs to shush them back to sleep for 3 nights in a row but still isn’t working😭 they said they should only wake up once to eat

My baby sometimes wakes up only once at 5am. Sometimes (and most often) 3 or 4 times between 7:30pm to 8am.

Not sure about you but feeding here is pretty quick. Im not sure she is actually hungry seems more like a comfort

It varies but wakes every twenty mins (early in the night and from about 3am) to every two and a half hours which I might get one stint of then a stint of an hour and a half too if I'm lucky. V normal for EBF I think. Thank goodness the eldest is at pre school and I nap at least an hour in the day!

16m snd I’m struggling to wean off feeding all through the night. Definitely try not to let them feed all night. It does horrible things for your back 😅 speaking from experience. I wish someone would have told me not to feed to sleep.

Why does no one use reins for toddlers anymore?

They seem so safe and practical but I never see anyone using them. I’m thinking of getting some for my toddler who is always running around but I worry I’ll be judged?!

Is your child the priority?

I saw a post where the mother complained how people don’t understand how hard it is to go outside and have a meal with others etc because her toddler has a routine. She would have to pack food, toys, nappies etc and try to figure out nap time whilst outside so staying home is much easier. We all know what it’s like when your child misses their nap and then nighttime becomes a nightmare. Everything is out of routine. It affects the toddler. I’m assuming that mums who are always out and about all day long, have a toddler who goes with the flow and nap anywhere, eats anything and isn’t overstimulated? Personally mine seems to have a hard time in new places and new faces and enjoys her routine and comfort at home. For me, she is the priority but other mothers are saying that it’s wrong and the child should work around them, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to do anything. In my head, I’ve just accepted that until she goes to school, I’m going to be in mummy mode 24/7 for the next few years. I don’t see myself enjoying being outside if my girl is upset and tired. How do you do it?

Baby carrier

Can anyone recommend a good baby carrier suitable for 5 weeks+ to last as long as possible? I’ve currently got a fabric wrap but find it a hassle to put on!

Is co-sleeping safe?

My baby won’t sleep in the crib at night. Within the first 5 minutes of being put down she will cry and i can’t do the sleep deprivation anymore.. as soon as she is in the bed next to me she settles! 😭is it safe for her to be in the bed with me? i’ve heard of safe sleep 7 and i know co sleeping is normalised in certain areas of the world so surely it can’t be that dangerous? idk help pls

8 week injections

Hiya! My little one had her injections today and she’s slept most of the day since 🥲 when she wakes for feeds, she’s only taking like an ounce at a time then falling back to sleep! Has anyone else’s baby done this too? I was told she may feed less but worried she’s not having enough as she usually has 4oz every 3 hours x

Stuck in contact naps

My baby is 6 months old next week and we're yet to achieve a cot nap over 15 minutes, but will happily contact nap for up to 90. We've tried all the usual stuff so I am here looking for any rogue ways you've managed to get your little one to swap from contact naps to cot ones 🫶🏼
