Baby monitor

My baby in the NICU, he will home soon… he was born 26w 2d. Lately, he is learning to bottle feeding and got 4 times episode. I am thinking about Owlet Baby Monitor. Is it good? Any review from there?

Love the owlet. Just know it’s not 100% accurate. It can either give you peace or be a nightmare. After my son was in the nicu years ago it gave me peace. My daughter born in January has been wearing one and while she has RSV I obsessively check it and I’m driving myself crazy.

I love ours. It keeps from obsessively checking on him all night because I know the alarm will wake me up if something were to happen so I’ve gotten better sleep since he’s been wearing it

Owlet does have a lot of false alarms when it falls off or baby moves a lot but it gives me peace of mind

We love ours! We have the duo sock and actual camera monitor. The sock has given us peace of mind as first time parents and the camera reports to us how her nursery conditions are for sleeping (temp, humidity, etc!)

Love it! Our baby boy was in the NICU and once we got to bring him home it gave us so much peace of mind! Yes, when they are newborns it may sometimes alert you “sock lost connection” when they are moving/crying because they are so little it might shift on their tiny feet but we have not had any issues since. We have only had one false oxygen alarm using the owlet but honestly I would take a million “false” alarms than miss a real one without the sock! I don’t think I would have gotten any sleep without it.

We ended up getting the Nanit and I love it. The breathing band gives me peace of mind when my husband and I sleep! I call it our babysitter since it watches him and makes sure he’s breathing while I’m not! My friend loves her owlet though

Elective C Section and Breastfeeding

Hi girls

My c section is booked next week and I'm excited and terrified in equal measures!!

Please can you give me your top tips for helping your milk supply along. Ive tried pumping colostrum at 37 and 38 weeks and just getting little trickles, nothing worth collecting. I've heard breastfeeding feeding is harder after an elective section.

Any advice would be amazing! Xx

9 week old sleeping through the night

For the past 2 nights my baby has slept through the night 😱
Yesterday she lasted 7h since the last feed until she woke up asking for food and today it's been 8h.
She got her jabs on Wednesday and she's been eating a little bit less (normally 730-820ml per day and for the past 4 days only about 700ml). Should I be concerned? She's otherwise very good, plenty of wet nappies and super alert when awake. I still feed her the same amount of times, just offering it more frequently

Breastfeeding with piercings?

I am 34 weeks along and my midwife told me if I want to breastfeed I should take my piercings out now, but when I had a home visit with a nurse she said I shouldnt have to take them out except when feeding or pumping. So I am just curious if there are any moms who have their nipples pierced who have been either breastfeeding or pumping and what's been your experience so far?
Editing to add: I don't mean I want to leave the piercings in while I'm breastfeeding or pumping. I mean taking them out while doing so but putting them back in after.

Does your partner stay awake ridiculous hours on the weekend knowing he’s already tired?

My partner continues to complain about being tired but constantly goes to bed after 11 weekdays and usually after 1 am on weekends, which means he never wakes up for our kids on the weekend I’m always up with them even if that is after I’ve had a night out. Is this normal or

Where do you put baby to sleep during day?

Where do you put baby to sleep during the day? In your living room or in another room? Do you darken the room during the day while they sleep? Do they already have a sleeping routine during the day ? (8 weeks old)

Night Time Nappy Leaks - Size 4, 4+ or 5 for a 6.5 Month-Old Side Sleeper

My 6.5 month old girl wears Aldi size 4+ nappies, and they seem perfectly fine during the day.

However, for the last two nights she has peed through her clothes and onto the bedding. She mainly sleeps on her side or tummy. Should I switch back to size 4 nappies for night time, or move up to size 5 instead?
