Nope! What is it?

Yes I had one as my birth involved shoulder dystocia

As it’s classed as a traumatic birth they offered a birth debrief so I could ask questions about what happened and why decisions were made and what happened clinically etc

I found it very useful

I wasn’t upset about the dystocia but it did answer questions about whether it’s likely to happen again

I was also able to tell them about my care after birth which was the actual trauma for me

Hope you’re okay

I didn't get a letter but I was offered a postnatal debrief while I was still in hospital.

I went into kidney failure after giving birth. They talked through my notes with me and answered any questions I had.

Lowering of drape

Hi all, I'm 30 weeks and having a planned c section due to significant damage from a 3rd degree tear with my first. I didn't bond with my son till about 14 months and am looking at the different choices I can make with the c section experience for my birth plan. Something that has come up is the drape screen being lowered at the point of delivery to see baby being born. After such an awful bond last time I am wondering if this could be helpful to stop things feeling disconnected but straight up am nervous about what I might see! Does anyone have an experience of this they could share and how they felt about it?

Smiling

Is your baby smiling yet? I feel like mine started smiling last week at 6 weeks and now at 7 weeks he's not. I'm trying my hardest but maybe I'm not as funny as I thought 😂
How are you getting your baby to smile? And how often are they smiling?

Induction vs C Section

Hi All!
I’ve recently found out that I can’t go to my due date (for a couple reasons). I initially had my sights set on a natural birth in the birthing centre but now that’s obviously not on the cards!

I’ve been reading a lot online & speaking to people and I’m really torn on an induction or planned c section. I’d love to be able to give birth naturally but I don’t want it to be a long process that ultimately ends in a c section?! I’ve also got GBS so I’m more concerned about a long labour.

I have an appointment coming up with a consultant to discuss but I’d really like to have my own “plan” on what I’d like before I go to the appointment.

So… anyone with prior experience… planned c section or induction? What would/did you choose?

Thank you💖

Normal??

I’m 32 + 1 week pregnant, started to get a weird shooting pain (not lightening crotch) down there…then a feeling of a gush of discharge/liquid like I’m going to wee myself. Been like this randomly for a couple of days, but now it’s happening quite regularly in the day, is this normal?

This pregnancy is absolutely nothing like my first so feel a bit like a deer in headlights 😂
