Pregnant and unsupported

I’m 19 weeks pregnant and I have a 3 and a 6 year old. I’m basically a married single mom and don’t have any support from my husband throughout this pregnancy. He picks and chooses when to be a father, comes and goes as he pleases, and stays out all times of night. I literally have no one to talk to for support. I feel so alone 😔 and yet I still have to be strong for my kids.

Are you able to get out of the house and make friends/build community? Honestly finding a good church was so helpful in making mom friends and having a community help postpartum with meals, even if you're in a season of struggle finding one with good groups to get to weekly or monthly for support and encouragement or to mind the kids while you gather with other young adults can be such a big help despite not having that from your husband.

If church isn't your thing, I would look up resources for moms to find local groups or even classes you can get to so YOU can get to know others in a similar season and start building relationships that pour into you.

No mom should have to go through this journey alone. My heart is with you, I was a single mom for 7 years before I met my husband. Please take care of yourself and push past discomfort to find community so you're not carrying this burden alone. I hope you're able to work through things or leave if you need to. You're not alone!
