No Screen Babies

I have a 5 month old, my husband and I have decided we would like our baby to do no screens and so far we have done actually pretty good, we have cut off tv for our selves in our bedroom and watch in the living room when she naps. She will randomly get glances around other family which doesn’t seem to bad to us cause she doesn’t stare. But man I miss being able to have background noise while I cleaned or in general just being updated on new shows or movies. Is anyone else trying no screens? If so how is going for you guys?

We’ve done no screens for 15 months, and it’s gone well. We do listen to a lot of podcasts in the background! Or music. She does some TV Saturday mornings or when she’s sick but that’s about it. At 8 pm when she does down, I run to the TV for my shows lol 😂

We’re not no screens but I usually have music or a podcast on a speaker like Alexa as background. For my daughter the Yoto mini is her favourite and the best thing I’ve ever bought to be honest 😂 it has a tiny screen that shows a pixel image when the song changes or when you interact with it but the screen goes off after a few seconds and is literally just a small picture so wouldn’t count as screentime. It has millions of free audiobooks available to download onto it too

My husband and I do no screens, unless it’s to FaceTimefamily members we don’t turn the TV on or have our phones on around her. She’s five months going on six months now and has been doing really good. I use music from my phone as background noise and I just flip over the phone so the screen doesn’t show use a speaker connected via Bluetooth.
