Toddler Travel / plane tips

Hi :) First time traveling with my 21month old. Would love some travel and plan tips and tricks. She doesn’t not sit still so pretty nervous about the take off and landing when we have to make her wear the belt and has to stay seated

hello! at 21 month old your baby will be sitting on your lap, they start having their own sit when 2y old, so you can try to keep your child still using plenty of snacks, stickers (they work so well with mine!), books and generally new toys work better to keep her attention

Under 2 they don’t have to stay buckled they just have to stay in your lap/row depending on how many people you’re traveling with. I went with my 10 month old a few months ago and again will fly with him at 14 months. Like everyone said new toys are great so they are interested in them. Snacks. I’ve heard people say they don’t recommend boarding early as some airlines do family boarding before everyone else. Let them run around for as LONG as possible outside of the plane so sitting still is slightly more comfortable.

Amazing thank you :) Love the new toy idea. And yep Isla has her own seat (we paid for it). But so glad to hear she can sit in our lap.
