Sleep!

Has anyone got any tips for easing tiredness for the newborn stage?? Me and my bf do shifts atm where we have about 6 hrs sleep each but we’re still absolutely knackered. I know this is just how it is going to be for a while but did anything help anyone? There’s only so much coffee I can drink and it’s not really cutting it🤣

Where is baby sleeping?

I don't know if it will help you but my girl is only a week old and when I get up to feed her, I put on a show I realllllly like. Even if I don't finish the episode before I go back to sleep. It helps me to stay awake since me and my husband can't take shifts.

Partner snoring…

Does anyone else really struggle with their partners snoring when they are awake during night feeds?! My husband is such a bad snorer at the moment - not usually, but he’s gained a bit of weight with me during my pregnancy which he’s working hard to lose but the extra weight has made him a snorer. He is SO loud it is actually ridiculous. Snores on his back, side and front too so no relief! I know he can’t do anything about it but the rage I feel at 3/4am when I’m awake and he’s making that racket!!! Ashamed to say I’ve shoved him a fair few times during his sleep now telling him to shut up 🤣

5.30 waking

Help please. Baby is 10 months and keeps waking up earlier and earlier. Gets about 2.5h total day time sleep, but this is having to be increased due to early waking, over 2 naps. Bed usually about 7.45pm which has been pushed back from 7pm. But he’s still waking early so getting less night sleep. He spends second half of the night in our bed already but I’m pulling my hair out. We went through this a couple months ago and it went back to normal but this is been happening for past couple weeks again

He’s also started moving sooooo much during the night, rolling around and even climbing up the headboard!!

REALLY STRUGGLING WITH NIGHT FEEDING

My baby is 3 days old today and since last night it’s been like every drop of breast milk I’ve given her has been empty calories. I was up feeding her pretty much constantly (only intervals were when she got too upset) from around 12 until half 3, then we fell asleep and we woke up at half 6 and she hasn’t been able to be away from my nipple since. I just caved and gave her a dummy for the first time just to soothe her for a bit. I don’t know what’s wrong - her latch is great, I can hear her swallowing the milk, she fed well thoughout the day the day before. It’s suddenly like she’s using more calories to get the milk out than she gets from drinking - like the more she drinks the thirstier she gets. I don’t know what to do I almost called 111 last night and will if it carries on today. I’ve got a health visitor coming back today anyway but I’m so worried there’s something deeper wrong, I swear I can already hear her screaming “mum” while she cries, it’s so upsetting. Anyone been through similar or know something I don’t?

Feeding to sleep

My LO is 10 months old and I’ve recently read that when they turn 1 you should stop feeding your baby to sleep. Has anyone ever heard of this or has stopped feeding their baby to sleep? Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry if I seem clueless but FTM and still learning even after 10 months!
