I’m so confused as to why so many women feel so strongly about monitoring how much weight they are gaining/feeling shame about said weight. So many women obsess over it in a way and stress out about “I am X weeks and gained Y pounds.” I saw one woman say how she will be starting ozempic once she gives birth. It saddens me because why do we have such a narrative of negative body image even when we are literally building a human. Our blood volume and so many other factors change and contribute to the weight gain. Weight gain is normal in pregnancy.
