Would you let someone from Australia visit your 7 week old baby before they're vaccinated?
I have health anxiety so worry about baby a lot. My husband is almost forcing me into it cos it's his family and I just feel very nervous. They landed Wednesday so will have been here 4/5 days by the time they visit. He wants the rest of his family all here on the same day (parents, siblings and their kids) which i said is too much

Personally it depends on who, my in laws arrive when my baby will be just over 7 weeks from NZ. I'm happy for them to visit, though MIL is a nurse and has ensured they'd both have RSV vaccination without me even asking. However what I'm comfortable with isn't what you're comfortable with, maybe try compromise? Only the visitors from abroad and not a big gathering?.

The change in woman when we have babies can be very hard for even partners to understand. I was very protective with my first, my newborn is my second and I'm a bit more relaxed with germs (having a child in nursery has forced this). From my perspective you aren't being unreasonable or over protective, your response is quite natural. You grew that baby and as much as they say the baby doesn't realize it's separate from the mother yet, mother's seem to also have that instinct. You don't 'owe' people your baby for them to meet. Grandparents and family from abroad only is completely reasonable IMO.

Stick with what you are comfortable with.
I personally would probably be ok with it but im on baby number 2 with a toddler in nursery so like above - sort of forced to accept more exposure to germs from birth this time!
For me I just wouldnt offer visitors to hold baby, i still dont offer anyone to hold my 8 week old x
