Postpartum preeclampsia

Pls take me off the ledge. I’m 8 days postpartum I’ve had a headache in my left eyebrow for two days. Today I woke up and it seemed like it finally had gone but now it’s creeping up on my right eyebrow. Meanwhile I’ve been taking my blood pressure and getting readings around 120/90 when usually I’m well below the 120/80 (dia sometimes 87, 88, 90, 92). I’ve talked to my doctor (after getting the 92 reading) and they’ve said to call again if anything went above 140/90 again. It keeps sitting around that 90 number and I’m anxious this could be postpartum preeclampsia? What were your symptoms if you’ve had it, should my bp be extremely high? It’s the persistent headache that is making me worry a lot and it’s not normal for me to have elevated bp readings.

I had real bad headaches and high blood pressure after my firstborn. It happened straight after birth though. Turned out I had mastoiditis. Had no pain in my ear though, hence they didn’t pick up on that. But if you are concerned, I’d recommend that you go to the hospital instead of your gp.

I had severe headaches (and my bp was up). My whole life I have not felt ear aches like others do - the infection showed up on a scan.

Surely the doctors wouldn’t let you go if they were concerned? Your body went through a lot 8 days ago and it’s working hard to find its balance again.
And therefore your bp is probably fluctuating?

As for the pains behind your eye brows, if you are really concerned, go to dr again or call ‘health direct’ (1800 022 222)- I find them helpful!

How is everyone?

Now that all the March babies have been born, I just wondered how everyone was doing?
Me personally, I have good days and bad days but I would say overall mostly good! 8 weeks pp, csection, all healed well and my boy is changing everyday!
I think the hardest thing for me is accepting my new body shape. Ive ordered some clothes that I hope help me bring a bit of confidence back

Should I say something…

I’ve just found out that my fiancé was on dating apps around this time last year (a month before we got engaged). I don’t know if anything happened from it, but we’re due our second baby soon and I don’t know if saying something right now is the best idea…

Mesa moms

My baby girl is due July 14th! I am quite excited but also a bit nervous! I am a first time mom and the nervousness is hitting. Would anyone have any tips on how to lower anxiety in pregnancy by chance?
