When to feed more?

When do you know when to feed your newborn more ozs? My LO (almost 6 weeks old) has been on 3oz, sometimes 3 and a half if he seems extra hungry. But lately he’s been getting hangry an hour before his next feeding time (we go every 3 hours), and he seems to struggle pooping. I tried him on 4ozs, and he seemed just fine, there was a little extra spit up but other than that he went back to normal with not getting angry between feedings and his pooping was back to normal. Should I keep him at 4ozs?

Is this formula or breast milk? My bub is almost 6 weeks she's 6 weeks tomorrow full formula fed and she's have between 5-6oz she hasn't had 4oz in 3-4 weeks. If your LO is still hungry try increasing how much they have cause they'll tell you when they want more and if you are having sleep troubles during the night it could help with that cause it keeps him fed for longer so you get longer stints

Are you formula or breastfeeding?
I would try to keep him between 3.5-4 oz only due to the spit up. I had somewhat of the same issue with my daughter where i tried upping her intake cause she seemed hungry but she kept spitting a little back up so i took it back down for a little and tried again at a different time until i saw the spit up disappeared.

Well, it finally happened.

My 2.5 yo woke up last night screaming for Mommy and Daddy, terrified like she had never screamed before, and when I went in to check on her, she told me she had heard a ghost.

The monster and ghost checks have begun.

Breast feeding/sleep.

I love breast feeding, it’s quick and easy for me. However, I used to do both, bottle and boob. Until I was told not to use a bottle which I wish I never listened to as all it has done is cause me stress 😭
My 13 week old uses me to soothe, which is normal for a EBF baby, but he doesn’t want to unlatch and he also contact naps. So I never catch a break and no one can get him to nap EVER, he will literally scream until he’s latched.

He will only nap on the boob. It’s exhausting as I am a human dummy. He won’t nap by rocking, white noise, patting, etc, trust me, I’ve tried everything since he was 5 weeks old, he just hates sleep.
I am wanting to introduce bottles again, slowly and not to upset him. But the crying kills me.

Should I start with 1 bottle in the evening before he goes to bed? With my partner doing this? I’m aware this is a slow process but I worry he won’t ever nap unless he’s on me or would he start to come out of this as he grows anyway?
Recently he has been getting a little better, I can unlatch him, even if it takes several attempts. He’s also been able to nap in the pram for 15 minutes which is amazing.
Do they start to be able to fall asleep in other ways as they get older?

Has anyone’s baby had this before? What is it?

My daughter woke up from a nap and that’s when I noticed it. She’s been very fussy today and chewing more than usual.

White noise!

Hey mamas
When did you stop putting your baby to sleep without white noise?
My baby will be 11 months nest week and can't even take a nap without ehite noise.
Is so annoying, and sometimes we gave to listen to that in the middle of the night when he don't want to sleep.

Picking up the baby

My partner has said that I am holding the baby too much. She is 6 weeks old. Rarely cries but if she falls asleep on me after a bottle I don’t always put her in her Moses basket. Am I ‘setting myself up’ as people keep on saying? She sleeps in her Moses at night time without a problem but I just hate to hear her scream .. please help!

Hot take. I think it's better to rehome your pets after having kids if it's affecting your postpartum mental health.

I had to. I had cats and I could not manage the twins and take care of them. It wasn't possible for me.
