Baby speech

Baby girl is 10 months old and I cannot get her to repeat what I say with the babbling and she’s not really doing gestures either. I’m at a loss right now. I don’t know what to do.

Mine is not repeating as well. She makes some noises. Sticks her tongue out and does blah type noises. But doesn’t try to mimic at all. Her ped said she wants her to at least have a word by 12 month appt. Im also at a loss of what to do. My son was babbling and all by now when I had him. They change so much within this time and a year old though. So that’s what I’m holding on hope to

Same is happening with my son. I think he has zero interest in repeating. He’s trying to focus on physical skips vs mental it seems. But that’s also just me trying to make myself feel better too

My 10 month old doesn’t mimic my babbling but he does his own babbling. He doesn’t really do “ gestures “ but he throws his arms around when he is happy/excited.

It’s normal for those skills to developed closer to 12 months.

My first born didn’t wave bye bye till 14/15 months

All babies progress at THEIR pace. There is a “standard” but go ahead and tell a 10 month old they should be waving bye bye 😂 lol

I was the same way with my first born but as long as your baby is not regressing *forgets to babble, forgets to crawl, can’t hold its head up, etc” don’t worry. I’m sure she is just taking her sweet little time.

All babies develop at different places, my girl only says mama and it's debatable if she even means me. She'll be 11 months on 2 days. I wouldn't worry unless your pediatrician is

Did the sleep trend change while i wasnt looking?

From my perspective, 4-5 years ago everyone was all about schedules and structures and Moms On Call and ferber method sleep training. As soon as my son was born early 2025, it felt like a huge shift in attitude. People were horrified / thought we were idiots for being on a schedule, i have been insulted for not baby wearing, and i have been talked to by MANY people like im a neglegent mother for rarely contact napping or bed sharing or when we started ferber.

Judge away if you must, maybe its always been this way, but it really feels like there was a huge shift in how we mamage contact and sleep.

What age was your first child when you had your second?

What age do think is best for your child to be before you have another one?

I can’t believe some of you let your babies watch Ms Rachel 🤬

Instead of letting your babies sit in front of the telly watching Ms Rachel…
Try educational alternatives like Deal or no Deal, we’re having a blast 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tantrums ( terrible 1s)

Hey ladys

What are we doing about tantrums? I have 18 month old twins and if its not one its the other. I do my best to give them what they need and want, Iv been told to stay calm, ignore them, give them a toy. And most of the time, all their needs will be met. Does anyone have any hacks I can try? And will this every go away?

Transition from next to me cot to bedroom

So my little one is 4 months, and she’s a big girl! She’s starting to outgrow her next to me but I’m worried she’s too little to be in her own room yet (tbh it’s more I’m not ready yet) but when did you guys move baby to their own room and how did the transition go?

Day naps

Where do I put my little one to sleep in the day? He’s almost 4 months & outgrown the Moses basket which I had downstairs, but I’m told I can’t put him in a room without me during the day
