Valid annoyance?

My uniform at work was too big for me before I was pregnant (I was due to order new ones after loosing weight but found out I was pregnant so kept them), so I feel like I wasn’t ’showing’ to a lot of people at work.

I’m now 33 weeks pregnant and look very obviously pregnant and I’m sick of someone every day saying “wow baby has come out of no where” “you’re so big now, it’s come from no where” “wow you’re really showing”.

I even had “are you sure there’s not 3 babies in there?”.

I just feel like it’s so rude that people keep commenting on my body, just because I’m having a baby, surely that doesn’t give people the right?! It’s also upsetting as I don’t feel my best atm anyway so people daily telling me this is dragging me down but I’m not sure if it’s me being too sensitive or not?!

I had the same thing, people didn't realize I was pregnant until I was 34 weeks along as well.

People are just absolutely self-absorbed dummies, and will say whatever comes to their mind without the filter. It's super annoying, but just know you don't have to see those idiots for a while after giving birth.

So yes, absolutely valid, but just don't pay it any mind.

Gestational diabetes testing!

I refused to drink the glucose syrup stuff because I’ve suffered with HG since I was 6 weeks and KNEW I wasn’t going to be able to fast or keep it down.

I refused the test in my other pregnancies but this time, I said I’d only do it by doing the finger prick test- and I was happy to pay to do it.

They obliged, and so today I start the monitoring!
Omg, 4 pricks to the finger for 5 days and I’m so glad I opted for this because it does not hurt one bit!!!
Nor do I have to spend a day in hospital 😂

My midwife at my booking appointment said the syrup was the only way to do the test but I knew it wasn’t… 😏

Struggling!

30+6 with my first baby and wow .. I seem to have hit a wall, mentally and emotionally. Have been struggling with PGP since about 15 weeks but thought I had gotten into a bit of a rhythm with it, but this week everything seems to be going wrong.
Struggling with the sudden surge of emotions and feelings of stress with work (secondary teacher) and just all round feeling a bit rubbish.
Is this normal? Desperately trying to enjoy the last stretch of pregnancy but finding it difficult!
Any suggestions of stress relievers whilst still working?

Uncomfortable

Anyone else just so uncomfortable now? I’m sure we all are but I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think I’d be in this much pain 😂.
I’m 34 weeks tomorrow and it’s so much effort to do ANYTHING in this heavily pregnant body. I feel like I’m not ready for baby girl to come but also, I’m so sick of being pregnant 😂.

3 weeks early!

The second really does come faster! My baby girl arrived this morning about 11 am, just 10 mins after arriving at labor & delivery. I was having contractions all night and by the time we arrived at the hospital I was 10cm and ready to push. It was never my plan to have an unmedicated birth but here we are! I had a normal, healthy pregnancy but wasnt due untill the 27th. I would have been 37 weeks tomorrow. No real rhyme or reason why baby girl was "early" except that she was ready 🥰
