Leap 9

My daughter is currently in the thick of leap 9 (14 1/2 months) We are really struggling with tantrums and being away from me for even a second.

Another thing we are REALLY struggling with is hitting and sometimes biting and pinching. It’s usually just me as I’m with her at home everyday but today she hit 3 children at a group we attended. It was so embarrassing. I removed her from the area, took away the toys she had also snatched from the child she hit on the head and showed her how to use kind hands on me. I’m not sure anything went in.

How are we dealing with the hitting? I’ve tried all the obvious ways, saying no, ignoring it, pretending to be upset, gently tapping her hand with a finger and then signing no, putting her away from her toys and me when she hits, and showing examples of kind hands etc.

Sleep consultants- are they actually worth it?

For anyone who has had a sleep consultant to help with your babies sleep, I want honest opinions are they actually worth it, or are they a waste of money? I’ve seen that it works for some mamas but then not so much for others but I am really at a loss where to go next and what to do. My 14 month old has never been a great sleeper and if anything we are just constantly going backwards rather than forwards and it’s honestly killing me. It’s affecting my mental/work/physical health. I’m a single mum too so I’m the one who’s surviving on constant broken sleep.

I don’t want to do any harsh methods like cry it out or the Ferber method, so do I get a sleep consultant? I’d love to hear other people’s stories who’s had one and did it honestly help them?

Is a rockit worth it?

Baby will immediately wake up as soon as I stop walking/moving the pram. Does the rockit really work? Just want some opinions as they’re so expensive!

20 month old holding pee overnight

The last 3-4 days I have woken up to bone dry nappies. I have consciously been trying to get her to consume more water and she is acting herself so I don’t have a feeling anything is “wrong”, she has also been having wet nappies in the day. Is this normal for this age?

I’m one week postpartum and I’m not ok.
I’ve been crying for days now.
I have so much on my plate rn.
I’m just mentally not ok. I wanna do what’s best for my boys but it seems like to everyone else I’m not doing enough. I feel guilty cuz my twins are in NICU. I’m on leave from my job with no pay. I know my house is a mess since I was in the hospital for almost 3 months. Trying to find somewhere to live to as there is no space in my apartment anymore. Trying to find a work from home job so I can be with my babies. I also have BPD which is not helping at all…

6 months postpartum and pregnant

Help! I have a 6 month old and found out this morning I’m pregnant again… my main worry is that I breastfeed and my daughter is very much attached to my boob…

In the trenches right now!

Omg post C-section is so hard. I’m 2 weeks PP.
My 4yo is being utterly unbearable the last few days, hubby is off work for a while so able to entertain him but he’s also doing shopping, cleaning and helping me & baby.

I’m breastfeeding constantly. Trying to take it easy and recover whilst running on 3/4 hours sleep 🙈 it’s just all too much. My 4yo just keeps having meltdowns , screaming and crying at the slightest thing upsetting baby when she’s asleep and acting really spoilt. He’s not listening to much & I’m annoyed I can’t do more, the house is a total mess, laundry up to our eyeballs, not much outside help as we live over an hour away from family. When does it get easier!?
