Transition to a bed
I’m looking to transition my daughter from cot to a single bed this weekend. She’s almost 27 months. Does anyone have any advice? I’m very nervous and doing this as my daughter seems to hate her cot now!

Is her room safe to be in alone? We put our daughters bed on the floor and even if she falls off she will be okay and can get back into bed
Then if you tend to leave her alone to fall asleep just try that with the bed on the floor and see if she stays content. Or lay next to her until she sleeps! It worked for us
Yes we did mattress on the floor for a couple of weeks so she got used to not having sides up anymore, and we stuffed a pool noodle under the sheet on one side to keep her in the bed a bit more. Once she got the hang of that we built the actual bed, and she has a bed guard to stop her falling out.
We also introduced an ok to wake clock - red for night, green for daytime and that’s been helpful to make sure she actually stays in bed!!
