She's here ❤️

My little May baby was born on Wednesday lunchtime via planned c section (originally due on the 9th).

My third baby, but the first to actually latch and breastfeed from me successfully. I'm over the moon about it, and about her generally ❤️ Our little family is now complete ❤️

Good luck to all the mummas still waiting for their baby to arrive! 😊

Overdue arrival 🥰

My little cherub arrived this morning and I am in love. All growth scans projected 6-7lb but she was 9lb 🥰

Opted for an induction that I was hesitant about due to my previous birth complications. Had the pessary in for 6hrs and got to 5cm. Contrantractions were a bit crazy but praise the lord for the tens machine. It was slow to progress until they broke my waters which was like a tsunami and then it was rock and roll time. Managed an unmedicated birth and pushed her out which im very proud of. A very very healing birth from my last 🩷

Good luck to all you mummas, enjoy every moment and dont put too much pressure on yourselves xx

Induced labour

My doctor recently suggested that I should have an induced labour at 40 weeks. I think it’s because I went through IVF to get pregnant as he didn’t specify why, I just read it on my notes.

So just wanted to know what were your experiences having an induced labour and is it something worth considering?

Unstable Lie - 38+5 - anybody else?

I wonder if anybody else is in the same situation where their baby is in an unstable lie (moving between transverse, oblique and breech), and if so, what is your hospital doing to support you?

For reference, I’ve been booked in for a c-section next week at 39+6. The midwife would like to move it forward but currently can’t as the elective list is full (apparently I’m top of the list to move forward but I don’t know how much weight that holds). However, all advice from every appointment (midwife today, scan last week, pre-op yesterday) is to call an ambulance and blue light to labour if waters break or I feel labour is starting due to the risk of cord prolapse. I’m finding this advice terrifying as it’s my second and my first labour was fast.

I’m just wondering if anybody else is in a similar situation re positioning and the unstable lie changing constantly? If so, are you being kept in hospital for monitoring? Have you been offered a c-section quicker? Same advice about getting an ambulance? Has anybody delivered previously with this? Any advice would be great. I have another scan tomorrow and I don’t know if I should be pushing to stay in hospital at this point rather than risk the journey in. Thank you 😊

Has anyone given birth at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital?

I’m currently pregnant and trying to understand how the postnatal stay works there. I heard the standard wards can be shared with several mums - is it possible to book a private room instead? If yes, how does the process work and when do you usually arrange it?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences 🤍

Raspberry leaf tea

Anybody had a bad reaction to drinking their first cup of raspberry leaf tea? Within 30 minutes I felt lightheaded and weak and then a strong Braxton Hicks contraction started. Im sitting on my kitchen floor drinking water and having a snack lol
