Sterilising

Hi everyone,
First time mum here and just wondered at what age do you stop sterilising bottles and dummy’s etc? I’ve heard 6 months, 12 months etc just not sure what’s right 🤔

Thank you ☺️ 🩷

Some people say six months because by that stage they are putting everything in their mouths but the NHS recommends doing it until they are 12 months https://www.nhs.uk/baby/breastfeeding-and-bottle-feeding/bottle-feeding/sterilising-baby-bottles/

If you are using formula you have to sterilise as long as you are using formula, as there's a specific bacteria that's really bad for babies that grows from the formula 😊 so usually just after 1 year when you transition to cows milk, but if you choose to use stage two formula then you need to keep sterilising- dummies etc are fine to stop sterilising at 6 months I think? 😊

It's when you stop using formula that you stop sterilising bottles . So there is no specific age

It's typically 12 months.
Dummies are also 12 months

At 6 months you don't need to sterilise cups and bowls, spoons etc

Eyebrows

My little girl has quite thick eyebrows. I’ve googled it and ended up down a rabbit hole. Has anyone else’s little one got similar eyebrows?

Why do toddlers hit!?

When you're feeling pretty low and lonely as a stay at home mum anyway and then you pick up your toddler and he smacks you Square in the face!
I couldn't help but let out a "what the fuck!?" And put him straight down on the floor and told him NO hitting....
He's 20 months. I'm really struggling :(
I'm in such a low point as it is

FML this morning!!

All I want to do is leave the fucking house! My 4 year old isn't listening to a word I'm saying it literally goes over her head, my 11 day old is screaming for milk but I'm trying to make a lunchbox and pack a bag.
My partner didn't come to bed til 4.30am so he's still asleep and he sleeps like a log! I managed to do a school run for my boy this morning but this one just seems impossible 🤦🏼‍♀️ she's meant to be there at 10 and it takes 20 mins on the bus..it's now 9.58 🤦🏼‍♀️

Give me fucking strength today please 😩

Co Sleeping

My newborn is 2 weeks old and I can’t get her to sleep in her bassinet. 😭😭 I get her down for a nap and then she wakes up crying cause she wants to sleep with me. Is this a phase I know she just wants to be with me cause she was in my womb for 9 months I just don’t want it to be a habit.

Co sleeping?

Anyone co sleeping straight away from birth? I started a few months after with my first but with this baby she seems to only sleep if in my bed 🛏️ but they're so tiny as newborns 🙈 I wanted her to be in the moses first off

How?!

Mamas with clingy babies and no help... How the hell are you managing to shower? I normally hand off to my husband while I do but he's just had his gallbladder removed and isn't allowed to lift anything over 10lbs for the next 6 weeks so can't take the baby and he's a super clingy has to be held type kid. I have no idea how I'm meant to shower without him having a full meltdown 😭

Update :he ended up in his baby bath having time splashing while I sat in the shower. It was chaos but at least I'm clean 😂😂
