What does birth feel like?

All of it, contractions, any inductions, how things feel with an epidural, or how things feel with a c-section? Healing?

I don't enjoy pregnancy but I loved childbirth. Both were inductions (singleton and twins) but no epidural. My body seemed to know what it was doing when the time came. I remember the shivering that came immediately prior to the birth (adrenaline I think?) which I wasn't expecting but it was fine.
Please note I have a naturally high pain tolerance and I'm not saying this is better or worse than any other type of birth. I was just scared of the loss of control and feeling that comes with C-section or epidural.

I also hate being pregnant but loved my labor. I had an induction, great experience. It was uncomfortable but I wouldn’t say super painful. I had an epidural which again wasn’t painful but you can feel it kind of crunching? So be prepared for that feeling as they’re putting it in. Contractions for me were pretty rough at the start, it felt a lot like period cramps but a lot worse (i have a low tolerance) but as soon as we got to the right dilation & the epidural was going it was a breeze. I had no pain during the pushing at all because of the epidural. The most painful part for me was them checking my dilation which I had gas and air for

For me, contractions were worse than the actual birth but nothing to worry about for now - you just get in this zone and go with it. I wouldn’t get tied up thinking about it now! Next time for me personally I’m going to opt for epidural just so I feel more present (hopefully) at the birth as the process seemed like a blur!

Emergency c section ( back pain)

I’m 6 months pp and since my daughter has been born I’ve been struggling with intense back pain radiating down to my knees . I’ve been referred for physio by my GP but it’s a 15 week wait list … the pain is getting so bad it’s keeping me up at night . Just wondering if any other mamas have experienced the same thing ?

Question for mums🌸

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and I’ve been having this sharp weird pain all the way down my crotch every time the baby moves. It feels like a lot of pressure but not like “oh he’s moving it’s pressure” pressure. It’s like a wiggle that’s so painful my first reaction is to slap my thigh😂. It feels like he’s about to escape. I’ve never had this pain before. This morning I woke up with my rib cages aching and my back too. I’m sat up straight and all I felt was something trying to escape from my crotch it was so intense and painful!!!!

What is going ONNNN did this happen to anyone else?

Birthday

Baby is turning one in September. Does anyone have any good gift ideas. We don't want to go over the top as it's not far from christmas. We would like to get a few bits, but nothing crazy.
5 did people do for a birthday party as I was looking at hiring a hall put, just because we couldn't host both families at our house. But just wondered if there was anything better than this as we would have to set up and do the food ourselves so would just be adding work for us to do

A little disappointed by the 16 weeks appointment 🙃

Was told by midwife we would listen to the heartbeat at 16 weeks and that it would be a nice appointment to bring my little one along. Told my little one about it and she was super excited and only to find out they stopped checking heartbeats at 16 weeks just a few weeks ago! 🙃 my little one luckily didn’t react to it when she told us in the appointment but the second we got to the car, she was very upset because she wanted to hear the baby’s heartbeat!!
