C section at frimley?

Hiya. Can I ask if anyone’s had a planned c section at frimley what your experience was like how long you stayed in etc? Baby is breech at 37 weeks so looking like I’ll be going down this route ☺️

Hiya I had a sorta planned c-section at frimley last August - I had the option of c-section or for them to start off my labour at 37 weeks due to fetal growth restriction - best decision I made was to have a c-section all went so well and so smooth as I guess it was all planned - they run through everything with you a few days before procedure and also again on the day! Some staff amazing others not so great but I guess you get that everywhere you go .. I was in in there 2 days after my procedure soly because my baby had slight jaundice and just needed to be monitored otherwise I would of been out the next day

All I say is bring snacks with you! Because the food isn’t amazing and prices to get snacks there are on the pricey side!!

Good luck with everything!!! If you have any other questions give me a shout xx

Hello I had an emergency c section with my first (2024) and planned with my second (Feb 2026) at Frimley and both were great. Planned is really chilled, surgeon and anaesthetist come and say hello pre surgery and talk you through it, you can pick your music and it’s very organised… I had my c section at 10am on the Friday and was out Saturday at 11:30pm … would have been sooner but I had to have my catheter in longer x

I had a c-section at Frimley in January 2025, I was booked in for one but my daughter decided to come early so it was sort of planned still! I had the option to try naturally or have a c-section and I’m so pleased I went with the c-section, it was so calm and everyone makes you feel really relaxed! Our anaesthetist was like a real life angel! My daughter was born on the Friday and we were home Saturday night, so we only stayed in one night but they did give us an option to stay a second if we wanted to! x

I had a planned c section march 2024 and it was amazing!
They go through everything before you go in, and then when you’re there they’ll go through everything again!
I was first down so went down at 8am, little girl was born at 8.30 and then finished and in recovery by 9ish! There’s a lot of staff in the room but they all have a role to play and all very nice! They’ll explain everything! They took photos for us, I had my own speaker and playlist playing! It was all personal to us! Staff on the ward were all really nice for us, helped me anytime I pressed the buzzer! Student midwives were my fave!
I was only in for the 1 night! Went home lunch time the next day!
Do take a portable electric fan though, it is hotttt!!! Xx

C-section Scar

I am almost 6 weeks postpartum and my c-section is starting to hurt again. There no redness or anything, just pain. Is that normal? My OB said it was healing nicely and that he wasn’t concerned at my two week appointment.

Uk mums!

Daughter is having general anesthetic for a 10 min procedure. Do I need to pack some pajamas, night nappy and my own snacks for it? I forgot to ask the nurse? Also do they allow hair to be up for the procedure, my girl has crazy hair 😂

Basically any recommendations!

Pelvic girdle pain

Is anyone else really struggling with pelvic girdle pain? I’m in absolute agony with it and walking is awful, it’s so painful and paracetamol isn’t touching it! My midwife has referred me to the physio but I only have four weeks left and she reckons they might not even get to see me before baby is here😫
