So I had my first midwife appointment the other day and fainted for the first time when they took my blood. I’ve never fainted brand wondered if this was normal whe being pregnant?
I’ve also got my 12 week scan next week and they said about measuring the baby for Down syndrome and other stuff but I can’t remember if they said they would take more blood? which I’m now a bit nervous about .

Fainting can be more common in pregnancy but also I’d you’ve never had your blood taken before it can be a shock.
They do offer to take more bloods when doing the combined screening for the syndromes.
