My 8 month old currently co-sleeps and I’m perfectly okay with that but I need a break when I put her to bed so I can clean and relax and need her to be able to sleep, in her bed by herself. I don’t know what I’m doing, first time mom and just need advice, thank you, picture of the little turd in question💜

I can really only say for my own experience with my baby who has a pretty chill temperament but I did the modified Ferber method when he was 4 and half months and he sleeps at 7:00 to 6:30 every night with no wake ups.
It’s really hard at first but going in to check on them and it says not to hold them but I always picked him up and loved on him and he learned it in about a week. But then once we got nights down we waited a few weeks to figure out naps. Now i can pretty much put him in his sleep sack turn on his sound machine and he’ll whine for 5 minutes before he falls asleep!

Just came to say I am currently in the same boat! Biggest piece of advice I can give is to make sure you put her to sleep in her crib when she is still awake. I put my daughter in when she is awake but drowsy and pat her butt or rub her belly until she falls asleep. Mine is also 8 months almost 9. It takes a while and some nights are better than others, but we are getting there. You got this mama!
