My 7 month old has a blood test next week to check for allergies/vitamins etc. I feel so scared for her to experience it :(
does anyone know how it’s done for 7 month babies? Is it like a heel prick or a blood draw from their arms etc? Any tips?

Mine had blood tests around that age (for different reasons) and it was a blood draw both times.
The first time went much better as the consultant was very skilled so got the vein first time and was quick and accurate. The nurse also did a great job holding his arm still whilst I held him on my lap. They gave him a sugar solution to help with the pain.
The second time didn't go so well as the doctor wasn't as skilled and missed the vein so had to have a few attempts. He was distressed as a result of this. I held him on my lap again whilst a nurse kept his arm still.
It isn't a nice experience but they do soon forget about it and you have to remind yourself it's necessary. My boy was totally fine seconds after even the second one after a cuddle.

My son has had to have bloods taken 3 times.
He’s 2. He’s had them in his arm both times. It was annoying to have to have him do it more than once but knew it was for the greater good. He coped well and we did a lot of praise and a big hug after.
It did require being held and distracted but it’s quick - the initial needle going in is what causes the major upset.
As hard as it may be. Try not to show your anxiety or angst as baby will pick up on it.
