I know babys will come when they’re ready but I’m intrigued… when I originally found out I was pregnant my due dates have been moved from when I originally figured it out to when I had my 12 week scan
What is more accurate for a due date;
- the date from the first day of your last period
or
- the date given at your 12 weeks scan with NHS
I hope this makes sense! TIA x

I asked about this and was led to believe the scan is more accurate as based on measurements and development and the LMP one is based on quite an old calculation and would only have chance of being accurate if all your cycles are 28 days and you always ovulate around same time xxx

I've always wondered about this too as my due date based off my LMP was June but my due date based from my 12 week scan is May and now I'm 39 weeks and worry about going overdue but then it would technically be in line with the June date 💁🏼♀️🙈🤣 x

I knew when I ovulated and my NHS due date by my 12 week scan was 5 days ahead of where ovulation put me x

I knew when I ovulated and my due date was changed from 17 May to 14 May from the dating scan! He was born on the 17 May! I know only a very small difference though xx
