Has anyone ever had continuous BV that just keeps coming back no matter what!? And before anyone claims it’s my partner he’s not the problem. I was having this issue YEARS before I met him and there went times where I was 100% celibate. The longest I was celibate was for like a year and a half and I still kept getting BV. I blame my IUD. Back in 2021 I got my first IUD and about 3-5 months into it that’s when this nightmare started. I had never gotten BV before until I had the IUD. At first I thought it was something normal but then after a year I realized that it just kept coming back. When I wasn’t seeing anyone I swore it would go away and nope nothing changed. I would talk all my prescription as directed. Over the years I’ve perfected my lifestyle to check off all the things that cause BV. Doctors are always like:
- do you wear tight clothes? No.
- do use scented products? No. I’ve fully been traumatized by this BV that I only now wash with a simple fragrance free bar of soap.
- do you pee before and after intercourse? Yes. Now that I’m married I literally have a ritual because of the stupid BV.
- are you underwear 100% cotton. Yupp before purchasing underwear now I always make sure now 😒
The only time when my BV went away was when I was pregnant. I got pregnant and magically my BV never returned it was insane. I spent all those 9 months traumatized and constantly smelling myself thinking it came back and it never did. I screwed up big time because at my 6 week postpartum check up I asked for the IUD again and sure enough it came back. I have taken it off and am still getting BV. The medication will work and I’m about a week or 2 it will come back on its own.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Did anyone find a doctor that will listen and given them answers? Now that I have good insurance from my husband’s work I’m going to find the best Gyno I possibly can to see if I can get help but I just wanted to ask on here.
And yes I’ve taken boric acid capsules. It helps eliminate the smell but they don’t resolve the issue. I would like to live a normal life not constantly have BV.

Same here, I do not have an IUD though. Do you take any pro/prebiotics?
